The Charlotte, a 20-storey residential tower in Canberra's Woden district, has reached its pinnacle, marking a significant milestone for developer Doma Group. This achievement is all the more remarkable considering that the Charlotte is not only Doma's tallest building in Canberra but also currently Australia's tallest. The tower's design, characterized by its soft, curved corners and low-level brickwork, sets it apart from other nearby towers. The Charlotte is a sibling to the Melrose, another elegant tower designed by Stewart Architecture, and together they form a master-planned precinct that will eventually total around 700 apartments. The project's success is evident in its strong sales, with 70% of the units already sold, and the demand is attributed to the functional and aesthetically pleasing design, as well as the strategic location near Westfield shopping centre and employment hubs. The Charlotte offers a range of amenities, including a landscaped terrace, a bookable lounge and dining space, a gym, a 25-metre pool, and a rooftop garden, catering to the needs of its residents. The project's emphasis on privacy, with living spaces not facing each other, and its five levels of parking, three of them underground, further enhance its appeal. The final stage of the precinct, the Hunter, will include a social and affordable housing component, adding to the diversity of the development.
